Moonlighter Gamescom 2017 Interview
During an archeological excavation – a set of Gates were discovered. People quickly realized that these ancient passages lead to different realms and dimensions. Rynoka, a small commercial village, was found near the excavation site – providing brave and reckless adventurers with treasures beyond measure. Moonlighter is an Action RPG with rogue-lite elements that demonstrates two sides of the coin – revealing everyday routines of Will, an adventurous shopkeeper that secretly dreams of becoming a hero.
Moonlighter is made by Digital Sun and published by 11 bit studios.
We had the pleasure of talking with Vicent Ramirez about his game at Gamescom. In Moonlighter you take the role of a shopkeeper who at night he becomes a hero and raids dungeons. The game is a mix of management game and action rpg, with the player managing every day shopping tasks and crafting, while in the night he enters the four dungeons and tries to find loot. Vincent told us that the rooms are hand made but the dungeons are procedurally generated, so the experience will differ with each playthrough.
Moonlighter is being made by Digital Sun and is consisted of ten people. They have been developing the game for two and a half years and as Vincent told us, almost all the content is already completed. They came to Gamescom to gather feedback and then polish the game. We can expect Moonlighter in the first quarter of 2018 on Pc, Ps4 and Xbox One. The developers would love to publish on Switch too.
