During Gamescom 2016, we also found Bilal, founder of Brainseed Factory who we talked to about their game, Typoman,Revised.
Typoman is a 2D puzzle platformer. You slip into the role of a character made of letters, struggling to make your way through a dark and hostile world. Despite your small stature you have a powerful gift: You can craft words to alter your environment.
But choose your words wisely – they can either be a blessing …or a curse!
Bilal told us that the game is a puzzle paltformer with no weapons or buttons whatsoever but instead with the player having the power of the language and of words. Every word we write in the game has some kind of effect to the environment. Our enemies are fear, hate, doom etc. and our friends are good words that we can use.
The team is comprised of 7 people and the game has been in development for 2 years now. The only difficulties the studio faced were in pre-production, where the team was trying to decide what the game was going to be. “That was a real challenge, making a new entertaining game.”
The revised edition at the moment was made based of the feedback and reviews that the game has received lately. The game launched recently on Steam and now the company is spreading the word through Gamescom 2016.
