It’s Halloween, which means it’s the perfect time for spooky, scary games. The newest addition on that list is Through the Woods, made by Antagonist.
that game’s Steam page says, “Through the Woods is a third-person Norse horror adventure set in a forest on the western shores of Norway that tells the story of a mother and her missing son. Through reactive narration, the player experiences the mother’s re-telling of the events surrounding her son’s disappearance. Players follow the path of a terrified woman who has forced herself to enter this terrible place for the sole purpose of finding her son, in a setting heavily influenced by Norse mythology and Norwegian folk tales.”
As you can see by the game’s trailer, Through the Woods looks absolutely beautiful, and quite scary. There seem to be quite a few supernatural elements to the game as well, seeing as there are trolls involved.
The game has already gotten a lot of praise from various sources and has mostly positive reviews on Steam. So, if you were looking for a game to play during the scary Halloween nights, this one might be it.
