No Heroes Here Gamescom 2017 Interview
No Heroes Here is a 2D co-op game (both online and local) for 2 to 4 players mixing Castle Defense with crafting and platform, all in beautiful Pixel Art style. Our goal is for the players to experience a frantic co-op game where their communication and coordination is the greatest key to victory. The Kingdom of Noobland is at war and its heroes, gone. With the death of the last hero, it’s up to the Non-Heroes to save the Kingdom! Across the Castles of the land, through teamwork, they must defeat horde after horde of enemies.
We had the chance to talk with developers Mad Mimic Interactive at Gamescom. They described their game as a co-op tower defence game with time management and crafting elements. Players will have the option to choose normal characters, characters that are definitely no heroes, and will have to synchronize in order to defend the castle.
No Heroes Here was deeply inspired by Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime, Overcooked and also from the humor of the great Monty Python. The game will have three worlds with fifty four levels in total, and each world will have different mechanics that will affect gameplay.
The team consists of seven developers and seven collaborators. No Heroes Here took two months in pre production and then ten to reach the place it is now. We can expect the game early in October on Steam and in January on PS4.
