Suncrash was also present at the Indie Arena Booth, with their game, Judgment: Apocalypse Survival. We had the chance to check out the game and also have a chat with Tomer Barkan, one of the two developers working on the game.
Tomer said that Judgment is a management simulation game where the player needs to lead the survivors through the apocalypse. Tomer also noted that there are no zombies whatsoever in the game, despite the apocalyptic nature of the game.
Judgment: Apocalypse Survival Simulation is a colony simulation game with tactical combat that takes place in the midst of The Apocalypse. Guide a group of survivors through the mayhem — hiding from hellspawn and building a safe haven. The game combines a base economy simulation with tactical combat missions; you survive by crafting equipment, defending your base and sending teams to scavenge for supplies.
The studio behind the game is ran by two people, an art director and Tomer who does basically everything else there is to be done. The game has been developed for more than a year and a half now and at first the developers worked part-time on it whereas now they are working on it full-time. “Our main difficulty was actually getting things to work because we lack experience in game development.”
The game is already on Early Access and during GC, the team was showcasing the latest alpha (alpha 8) of the game. There is also a huge update coming right after Gamescom 2016 ends.
