Bytecore was at Gamescom 2016 with its new game, Helion Void Wars. We had a chance to try out an early build of the game and also talk to one of the developers.
Quike, told us that the game is a 3D space combat simulator, that is also divided into 4 squads, allowing the player to switch from one ship to another at any time and thus creating more dynamic battles. The player is given control of the order of the mechanics, making it a very interesting space combat experience. Cooperate with the leaders of your fleet to improve your ships and improve them evern further with various power ups that you will find during battles.
The company has been working on it for a year now with 7 people and the biggest difficulty in the development of the game has been “by far the AI, because there is a lot of weight on that point. That is due to the fact that the player only controls one ship while there are so many others flying around.”
The company is planning to release the game in Q1 of 2017 and while there is not much information available right now, you can find more about the game on its website.
